Has got interest in Music from her Childhood. Her Musical knowledge was encouraged by her parents Mother being a good singer and Father an official of Police Department was very bold and sincere in his service and received Indian President Medal for his Meritorious service.

 Served in the Music Department of Kalakshetra, college of Fine Arts, Madras for 8years (1974-82) under Padmashree Rukmini Devi Arundale.

 Vocal training: Under great masters like Dr.S.Ramanathan, Sri M.D.Ramanathan and Gottuvadyam Vidhvan, Bhudaloor Sri Krishnamoorthi Sasthrigal.

 Done Research in “Thirugnana Sambandar Thevara Isai” and got the Doctorate Degree from Madras University.

 Late Shri Gomathisankara Iyer, great Research Scholar in Tamil Music also Veena and Vocal vidhvan, Retd. Prof. of Annamalai University very much appreciated her Research works and also guided her for Pan Araichi .
